A NEW Church!
If you stop by our church on any given Sunday, you might notice that we don’t quite look like a normal, established Church. We don’t have all the traditional church routines and programs. We’re probably a bit more informal. And you’d probably catch on that we’re still learning all that it means to be the community of Christ. The main reason? We’re a little new at this. We are a church plant in the New Oxford and Gettysburg communities.
We’re part of a great fellowship of churches called the Bible Fellowship Church Denomination and our main goal is to love and serve the people of our communities by witnessing to and living out the glorious story of God’s grace and redemption in Jesus Christ. It is our core conviction that in the death and resurrection of Christ, God is restoring people in meaningful relationship with Himself. He is healing relationships among family, friends, and neighbors. He is making all things new including hurt and broken people and communities. We want to see that beautiful story play out in the places we are a part of. We want to see God’s kingdom come in Adams County as it in Heaven.
So though we may not yet have the traditional Church look, we are firmly established in good news of the Christian faith. And we’d love for you to come be a part of what God is doing among us. Our small group of individuals and families contains the young and old, traditional Christians and those who’d never stepped foot in a church before, the committed and those who still have a lot questions. Together, we’re growing in our understanding of what it means to need Jesus, to be His Church, and to love and serve after His example. That to say, no matter where you are, what you believe, the issues you deal with, you’ll find you’re more than welcome among our growing family. With each new person that comes, the personality of our Church changes. We’d love for you to come and add to our “style” and our “story”.
We hope this website will assist in explaining a little bit more about our Church and what we’re doing in our communities. If you’d like to learn more, feel to contact us, or even better, why not drop in on a Sunday service or one of the Home Bible Studies. We’d love to meet you!
